Roofnest reveals the new Sparrow 2 series, the second generation of the pop-up rooftop tent that established the Roofnest brand. The new Sparrow 2 line includes Sparrow 2, Sparrow 2 XL, and Sparrow EYE 2, which is the most-awarded Roofnest model.
When campers think of a Roofnest, they’re probably picturing a Sparrow. It’s the model that has defined the brand for many years. In fact, the Roofnest logo still includes the Sparrow outline; the wing-shaped silhouette is the most iconic rooftop tent form. “With Sparrow 2, we kept the equation simple. We took the comfortable and easy-to-use Sparrow series and added more hardwearing ruggedness and capability to the mix,” said Roonfest CMO Dave Rogers. “Sparrow 2 series is our roomy, four-season pop-up rooftop tent that lets folks get to camp faster, sleep longer and more comfortably, and take more gear with them.”

Just like the original Sparrow, campers can leave their bedding inside Sparrow 2 tents. This saves campsite setup and breakdown time as well as freeing up space inside the car. Keen observers will notice that the popular Sparrow Adventure submodel is not included in the Sparrow 2 family. Fret not. All Sparrow 2 tents are adventure-capable, thanks to the optional crossbars. Pricing for the Sparrow 2 is currently $100 off during pre-sale. Deliveries will begin in mid-September.
