Metal is a popular material for larger snowboard and ski rack wall mount systems as they’re more heavy-duty and capable of carrying much greater weight quantities. Plastic is going to be the most budget-friendly, lightweight option, though they’re not often that durable.

Protection

No matter which material you select, the most important factor is going to be if it protects your equipment. You don’t want to steel denting your snowboard, or the wood scratching your skis, right?
