Fischer has unveiled the RC4 Pro ski boot for the upcoming winter ski loaded with innovative features. This launch is the result of a collaboration between Fischer, a leading ski boot manufacturer, and ZipFit, a specialist in liner technology, resulting in a unique ski boot designed for improved performance and customization.
The RC4 Pro has received recognition, including awards such as the Outside Magazine and Ski Magazine Editor’s Choice Awards for winter 2023/24. The RC4 Pro offers two volume options, MV (medium volume) and LV (low volume), and incorporates advanced technologies to cater to the needs of serious skiers.

The standout feature of the RC4 Pro MV is the BOA H+i1 system, designed to conform precisely to the shape of the foot. This system utilizes TPU (thermoshape polyurethane) to optimize power transfer and control, enhancing downhill performance. Both the RC4 Pro MV and RC4 Pro LV have flex ratings of 140, making them suitable for competitive skiers seeking high performance on the slopes. This performance comes with a steep price tag. The RC4 Pro BOA retails for $1,099.
Christoph Lentz, Boot Product Manager at Fischer, explained the motivation behind the collaboration with ZipFit, stating, “As a personal believer in the ZipFit product, I sensed that ZipFit inner boots would be the perfect addition to the RC4 Pro line of boots. Mutual synergies between the two brands were also clear from the beginning: Fischer with a very strong presence in Europe and a long history of performance skis—ZipFit with a strong North American presence and credibility with competent boot fitters.”
ZipFit is known for its innovative liner technology and meticulous craftsmanship. Each liner is handcrafted in Italy and customized to fit an individual’s foot, providing durability. For the first time, this technology is available in a ski boot tailored to leverage the power transfer capabilities of the ZipFit inner boot.

“Fischer set out to make the best alpine ski boot possible and when they approached our team about including a ZipFit liner, they were aligned with our commitment to uncompromising performance,” notes Chris Dominick, Managing Director at ZipFit. “They didn’t ask us to cut corners. The RC4 Pro is a testament to their dedication to design and performance and it’s the first ski boot built with as much attention to the liner as the shell. Working with Fischer was an easy decision because they recognized the quality of a ZipFit liner and understood that to build the best performing alpine ski boot, they needed to have the best-performing innerboot at the core. The RC4 is just that, the best alpine boot available with a dynamic and customizable fit.”
